According to Merriam-Wesbster, apart from nude, "Naked" can also mean "devoid of customary or natural covering", "devoid of concealment or disguise". That's the meaning I was going for and why I used "naked" and "vulnerable" together in that part. :) So yes, Tommy has his underwear on...at least for now. ;)
